ASMI Fishing Families Photo Contest

Contest Details

The photo submission period ends at 11:59 PM on Sunday, November 29, 2015.

Helpful Hints

  • ASMI seeks to enhance the State of Alaska's value of the fisheries through compelling photography of fisheries in action. However, not all aspects of fishing are necessarily "pretty" or appropriate for the consumer. Photos featuring blood running down a fish are not what we are looking for, however, we do allow slight re-touching. Please see the rules section for more details.
  • Feel free to pose for a new photo with your family or to send us a candid shot you already have. We're looking for families, seafood, boats, wildlife, scenery or anything that enhances the image of Alaska seafood!
  • ASMI would like photos that include commercially harvested species. Trout fishing is fun but we don't market trout so please stick to the species that are commercially harvested! If you aren't sure, just ask! Send questions to:
  • Remember, we are marketing Alaska Seafood. Fishing photos from Canada or the lower 48 are not eligible for this contest.
  • The more the merrier! There is no limit to the number of photos each person can submit!
